I am a Research Scientist with the THOTH team at INRIA Rhones-Alpes, where I work with Dr Cordelia Schmid. Between July 2013 and June 2015, I visited the University of California, Irvine (UCI) where I collaborated with Prof Deva Ramanan. I received the Ph.D degree from the University of Zaragoza in 2012, advised by Prof Carlos Orrite. Before that, I was a Visiting Student (2007-2008) and a Research Fellow (2009-2010) with Prof Philip H. S. Torr in Oxford.
My research interests include computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning, with special focus on egocentric vision, environment understanding and human pose and activity analysis. In the past, I have worked on several other computer vision problems including segmentation, shape analysis, object tracking, video-surveillance, biometrics and OCR.
